Who we are
Hopetoun Homes Ltd is a company registered in Scotland (company number SC893913). We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about this notice or your information at info@hopetounhomes.co.uk.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our contact form we collect the details you give us: your name, organisation, email address, phone number, the type of enquiry and your message. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
How we use it
We use your information only to reply to your enquiry and, where you are a lender, investor, introducer or property owner, to continue the conversation you started with us. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement with you.
We never sell your information or share it for marketing.
Who processes it for us
This website is hosted by Netlify, which receives and stores form submissions on our behalf before they are forwarded to our email. Netlify may process data outside the UK, under safeguards approved for international transfers. We also hold enquiries in our business email account.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them. If no ongoing relationship follows, we delete them within 24 months. If we go on to work together, we keep records for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict its use. Email info@hopetounhomes.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
